We are currently assisting a great firm with an important hire – a GDPR Litigation Associate – to join their outstanding and welcoming practice.
The firm has a dedicated team of lawyers who practice in different areas of the law - corporate, commercial contracts, regulatory, litigation and dispute resolution, employment and health services - and who apply their specialist expertise in advising clients on the practical requirements of the GDPR.
The team advises clients in the immediate aftermath of personal data breaches, providing practical guidance on mitigating steps, reporting requirements, and completing document reviews. The team advise on the assessment of risk, responding to Subject Access Requests, and communicating with the Data Protection Commissioner (“DPC”) with and on behalf of clients. The team also advise on data protection litigation and separately on transparency requirements including drafting privacy and cookie policies, and provide support, assistance and a forum for discussion to our clients’ Data Protection Officers
You will get involved with complex disputes at the highest level, whilst getting the support and mentorship from Partners who really believe in the importance of career guidance and future aspirations of their people.
You will have 3+ years’ PQE in Litigation from a highly respected practice in Ireland, the UK or another common law jurisdiction.
You will have experience in regulatory enforcement/Litigation and/or direct data protection/GDPR experience/Information.
