Mia Barry and Mared Roberts join as associate directors

Demand for in-house legal staff and private practice solicitors is strong, which is providing growth opportunities for a legal recruitment firm such as Keane McDonald. The Dublin agency has announced two key appointments to its team, as it taps into the legal sector employment demands.

Mia Barry and Mared Roberts have joined as associate directors. Barry will manage partner-level positions for the Dublin and London markets, while Roberts specialises in search and selection, and will manage in-house legal and compliance appointments for Keane McDonald.

The legal recruitment firm was established in 2005 by managing director Yvonne Kelly (pictured). She recently expanded Keane McDonald’s operations to cover the Middle East, Asia and Australia. “The shortage of top-calibre legal talent is clearly a growing problem as the economy continues to grow,” says Kelly. “The candidate pool in Ireland is not nearly sufficient for the surge in demand for these professionals. There is increasingly a shift in how and where we find legal talent. The need for legal professionals to return from overseas is enormous.”
