Job Title: Tax Professional Support Lawyer, Dublin
A top Irish law firm is looking to hire an experienced Professional Support Lawyer or a Tax lawyer, to give support in their busy Tax department. Working as part of the PSL team you will assist with current awareness, knowledge management and technical training initiatives, aimed at delivering quality, consistency and efficiency for the firm’s fee-earning lawyers.
The Role:
You will produce monthly updates and timely alerts for internal circulation, prepare client bulletins and other publications
You will monitor new and proposed relevant Irish and EU legislation
You will respond to queries on technical issues and providing legal research and legal technical content as requested
You will be collecting, profiling and reviewing ‘know-how’ submitted from fee-earners
You will be looking at the development of content for, updating and maintaining the internal intra-net page (including blog posts, links to practical resources, ongoing L&D Programmes)
You will organise internal seminars on topical issues and bespoke technical training programmes for junior associates/ senior associates as required
You will coordinate internal training programmes for each new rotation of trainees, newly qualified associates and new-joiners
You will assist fee-earners with the preparation of materials and content for internal training events and external seminars
The Person:
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Lawyer with 5 years’ PQE gained in private practice, preferably gained in a large firm
You will have specialised in the area of Tax
You will have excellent research skills and demonstrated interest in learning and development and design and delivery skills
You will be commercially aware with a good understanding of business issues faced by clients
You will have excellent written and communication skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
