A leading legal law firm has an opportunity for a Construction Senior Associate to join their practice. The firm’s construction practice is long established and widely acknowledged as one of the leading construction practices in Ireland.

The construction practice works with a variety of clients based in Ireland and overseas including government, local authorities, banks, developers, contractors and designers. The role will mainly focus on non-contentious matters but will also involve some contentious work.
The Construction and Engineering team’s areas of practice include:
Advising on complex and simple construction and engineering projects including commercial office, corporate headquarters, residential developments, leisure centres and shopping malls
major international construction projects including infrastructure, utilities, power and process plants and hotels
construction dispute management including construction mediation, conciliation, arbitration, adjudications, other ADRs and court proceedings
distressed developments — options / contract structures to build out, remediation / build out contracts
construction finance, bonds, warranties and guarantees
Procurement strategy and EU procurement issues
construction health and safety issues
dispute avoidance and contract management
claims analysis and negotiation
You will have proven experience in construction law, most of which in non-contentious construction matters
You will have a minimum of 5 years PQE
You will have proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met
A pro-active approach to client relationship management is necessary and you will have a high level of motivation and the ability to work on ones own initiative
You will also have strong organisational, financial and time management skills
