Job Title: Knowledge Lawyer - Funds, Dublin

Established international firm with an entrepreneurial and progressive culture is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer – Funds to give support in their Asset Management and Investment Funds practice. This role focuses on the funds industry, including the design and delivery of learning and development programmes.

In this role you will work closely with the business leaders, including Funds Partners and Knowledge Management team and it requires constant communication and research to ensure the knowledge base it at the very top level at all times.  This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer to share their wealth of knowledge of the funds industry and to continue to develop but within a less demanding support role.

The Role:

  • Conduct research
  • Monitoring new and proposed relevant Irish and EU legislation and case law
  • Support and advice the Funds Practice
  • Producing internal current awareness bulletins for firm-wide circulation
  • Assessing the implications of relevant legal and regulatory developments for practice
  • Contributing to development of “house views” and agreed positions on technical issues
  • Assisting with the production of briefings papers and presentations for clients
  • Developing and managing collections of valuable knowhow within the asset management and investment fund industry
  • Developing, reviewing and updating precedents and practice tools on an ongoing basis
  • Designing and delivering training materials
  • Communicating know how and precedent developments to the firm
  • Identifying key legal developments of interest to clients
  • Assisting in research, drafting and the production of the content for online delivery
  • Harnessing firm resources to deliver content to the website in a timely fashion to strict deadlines

The Person:

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Lawyer with at least 7 years’ experience in private practice, preferably gained in a large firm
  • An in depth understanding of the asset management and funds industry required
  • You will have excellent research skills and comprehensive understanding of legislative process in EU and Ireland
  • Yu will be commercially aware with a good understanding of business issues faced by clients
  • A target-driven individual with strong organisational and project management skills will suit this role
  • You will have a deep appreciation of the importance of effective knowledge management in a law firm
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting to a senior level
