Job Title: Dispute Resolution Solicitor - Commercial and Construction, Melbourne
Our Client, a leading international Law Firm is currently recruiting for a Construction Litigation Lawyer to join their Dispute Resolution group in Melbourne. Clients include some of Australia’s largest construction, resources and infrastructure projects.
You will be providing advice on a diverse range of matters in a team that is on a growth trajectory.
You will be exposed to a wider Dispute Resolution practice group, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders and specialists within their chosen fields.
You will be responsible for varied challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market.
In this role, you will perform work on disputes in the Victorian Supreme Court, the Federal Court, as well as domestic and international arbitrations.
Construction disputes experience in Victoria
Excellent analytical, communication and research skills – to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice.
First-rate experience of drafting documents (including writs, statement of claims, default judgments, defences, witness statements, affidavits, complaints, agreements, etc.).
A commitment to developing innovative solutions and outcomes to resolve disputes.
Recognised Victorian litigation/ arbitration and general dispute resolution experience gained in a similar environment with similar high profile clients and matters and enjoy working as part of a committed team.
Strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability – you will play a role in supporting and actively developing relationships with clients.
Team focus – to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships and to mentor junior colleagues and ensure the effective utilisation of the group
Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities – participating in industry-related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks.
