A leading firm with one of the largest construction practices in Ireland, advising on all stages of construction and utilities projects and PPPs from inception, planning, procurement and construction through to completion is seeking a Construction Associate. They provide a dynamic, comprehensive and client focused service to those at the forefront of the infrastructure and utilities sectors. They have been at the cutting edge of developments in the utilities and infrastructure sectors in Ireland and Northern Ireland, having acted in relation to many of the most significant projects on the island.
Drafting, advising on and negotiating development agreements, key construction contracts and consultant appointments on behalf of both public and private sector clients for commercial developments, wind farms, energy projects and residential developments.
Advising on all local and international industry standard forms of construction and infrastructure contracts including contract specific insurance requirements, risk allocation and limitation of liability.
Advising on current legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to the construction industry.
Drafting, advising on and negotiating performance bonds, collateral warranties and supporting documentation for development agreements and construction contracts.
Carrying out legal due diligence and advising on construction documentation for existing and prospective construction projects on behalf of funders, investors, purchasers and developers.
Qualified Solicitor in a Common Law Jurisdiction
2-4 years’ PQE and with proven experience in construction law
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
You will give superb attention to detail at all times
Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
You will be capable of communicating at all levels with an ability to communicate points clearly
