Job Title: Banking and Finance Professional Support Lawyer, Dublin
A leading law firm in Dublin is looking to hire a lawyer to give support in their busy Banking & Finance department. This role focuses on the banking industry, including the design and delivery of learning and development programmes.
In this role you will work closely with the lawyers in general banking, structured finance and asset finance, and it requires constant communication and research to ensure the knowledge base it at the very top level at all times. This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer to share their wealth of knowledge of the banking and finance industry and to continue to develop but within a non-billing capacity. This role offers great flexibility and potentially a 4 day week.
Conduct constant research
Monitoring new and proposed relevant Irish and EU legislation and case law
Support and advice the banking, structured finance and asset finance solicitors
Producing internal current awareness bulletins for firm-wide circulation
Assessing the implications of relevant legal and regulatory developments for practice
Assisting with the production of briefings papers and presentations for clients
Developing and managing collections of valuable knowhow within the banking industry
Designing and delivering training materials
Communicating know how and precedent developments to the firm
Identifying key legal developments of interest to clients
Assisting in research, drafting and the production of the content for online deliver
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Lawyer with at least 7 years’ experience in private practice
An in depth understanding of the banking and finance industry required
You will have excellent research skills and comprehensive understanding of legislative process in EU and Ireland
You will be commercially aware with a good understanding of business issues faced by clients
A target-driven individual with strong organisational and project management skills will suit this role
You will have a deep appreciation of the importance of effective knowledge management in a law firm
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting to a senior level
