Job Title: Head of Compliance, International Insurance, Dublin
Our client, a multi-national insurer which is in the throes of expansion via acquisition and organic growth, is seeking to appoint a new Head of Compliance to join their team. This new role will report to the CRO and ensure that all business is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation/regulations. This position offers a great opportunity to join an international organisation in a senior role and to make an impact during an exciting period of development.
The Role:
Ensure business is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations and guidelines issued by the CBI
Identify the legal and regulatory requirements and keeping informed of all new and evolving legislation both in Ireland and the jurisdictions in which the organisation operates
Communicate any regulatory changes and develop a compliance culture with the senior management team and Board
Provide guidance in relation to ethics and review the risk management system, feeding into the risk and compliance monitoring programme across the organisation
Review and approve programmes across multiple jurisdictions for compliance purposes, keeping abreast of evolving corporate strategies, the changing regulatory environment and expectations of various stakeholders
The Person:
Degree educated (business, finance, law), along with a recognised compliance qualification
At least 5-6 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory or legal environment, preferably within the insurance industry
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
Familiarity with the reporting requirements of Solvency II
Ability to lead a team, willingness to share knowledge and a high level of attention to detail
