About The Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands are made up of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman and are located in the Caribbean, off the coast of Florida. Grand Cayman is the largest of the Islands and where the leading law firms are located, along with upmarket hotels and restaurants. Cayman’s climate is tropical with the dry season running from mid-November to April, which is also peak tourist season.

Qualifications:
Candidates have to be admitted and have practiced in the Commonwealth jurisdiction.
To find a position in Cayman you must have 3 years relevant PQE experience. Some Law firms may start interviewing at 2 ½ year PQE level.
Visa & Work Permit:
You will need a valid work permit. The law firm will guide you through this process and visas are rewarded relevant to a specific position with the firm. A legal spouse can be registered as a dependent on your work permit. Unmarried partners must have employment and a work permit.
Salary:
Salaries are known to exceed Magic Circle and Top Tier Law Firms.
The remuneration packages vary from firm to firm. The typical salary will include a generous salary plus discretionary bonus . Someone with 3 years PQE can typically earn €100,000 plus with the major benefit of 0% income tax.
Standard benefits include a relocation package, health insurance and pension. Health insurance for residents is mandatory.
Work / Life Balance:
Although the hours can be similar to Ireland and UK, the Cayman Islands can offer a good work / life balance with the fantastic weather and the shorter commuting times.
Annual Holidays can differ in Cayman between firms . Some firms offer the US system of 10 working days per year and other firms offer from 3–4 weeks.
