Job Title :Professional Support Lawyer, Part-time Role, Dublin.


Our client, a highly respected international law firm, is seeking  an experienced professional support lawyer to support the Corporate and Litigation practices on a part-time basis.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the processes around know-how, precedents and standard forms: drafting, updating, managing and disseminating documents, setting up or dealing with online document systems;
  • Research: analysing new law and practice, researching points of law or directing fee earners to appropriate sources. Keeping fee earners abreast of new points of law and current market developments and in conjunction with the knowledge centre answering queries relating to maintained information, new areas of law, and complex areas of law/specialisms;
  • Training: organising internal lectures or seminars for trainees, fee earners or firm-wide aimed at briefing the teams on changes to law, practice and precedents;
  • Marketing and business development: contribute as required to the production of articles, briefings, newsletters or other materials for circulation to clients or to be published in selected journals. Work with the firm’s marketing team to develop the department’s social media profile;
  • Help in the preparation of client pitches/tenders by researching and collating industry specific and department specific information;
  • To contribute to and manage various parts of the department’s intranet and information provision services;

The ideal candidate will have;

  • A minimum of 4+ years PQE transactional experience with a particular focus on one of the core areas with practical experience of another;
  • A strong technical and academic interest and ability in the area;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision-making with an ability to push through projects;
  • Willingness to work co-operatively as part of a team and contribute to the smooth running of the department;
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Strong documentation skills;


  • Hold at least a 2.1 honours degree in any discipline;
  • Qualified as a solicitor/barrister in Ireland and/or England and Wales;
  • Have an excellent academic background;
