Job Title :Professional Support Lawyer, Dublin (Fixed Term Contract)

 

Our client, is seeking to recruit a Professional Support Lawyer to provide professional legal support services to the Corporate team in one of Ireland’s leading  law firms.

The Role:

  • To promote current awareness of legal developments
  • Monitoring new and proposed EU and Irish legislation and caselaw emanating from Irish courts and the ECJ
  • Producing internal legal bulletins for the firm and producing briefings for specific departments
  • Researching the implications of legal developments for Irish law and practice
  • Assisting Fee Earners in developing briefings papers and presentations for clients
  • To harness the firms know how and precedents
  • Promoting engagement with practice areas and establishing relationships where know how is identified and offered on a continuous basis 
  • Working with partners to develop, review and update precedents on an ongoing basis
  • Reviewing know how and training materials to ensure fit for purpose based on agreed targets
  • Communicating know how and precedent developments to the firm and promoting good knowledge culture
  • To develop the content of the website ensuring we take a leadership position on key legal developments
  • Assisting in research, drafting and the production of the content for online delivery
  • Harnessing firm resources to deliver content to the website in a timely fashion to strict deadlines
  • To oversee all aspects of the monthly client bulletin and identify strategies for continuous improvement regarding circulation, content and format.  
  • Convening the editorial team to discuss key areas for inclusion
  • Compiling the draft bulletin for review and acting on feedback
  • Assisting in the research, drafting and editing of articles
  • Working with the web team to publish and distribute the bulletin


The Person:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a legal practice.
  • Commercially aware with a good understanding of the business issues faced by corporate clients
  • Target driven individual with strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent research skills and comprehensive understanding of legislative process in EU and Ireland
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting to a senior level
